Miller Park’s revitalization is underway to make the park easier to navigate, more welcoming to visitors and more reflective of the pride people have in this important community space.
The Miller Park Trust is focused on practical improvements and day-to-day stewardship that help the park serve the community well. Improvements include:
- Hired full-time staffers including a Park Manager, Community Outreach Coordinator and Maintenance Foreman dedicated to continuing to make Miller Park a wonderful community asset
- Enhanced lighting in key areas
- Park road and access improvements
- New landscaping and beautification
- New and updated signage
- Ongoing maintenance and upkeep
- Community programming and events
- Support for family-friendly activities
- Coordination with neighborhood groups, schools, partners and the City of Omaha
Focus on Comfort, Visibility & Care
Miller Park has invested in ongoing safety measures so the park continues to be a place where everyone can gather, play, enjoy and celebrate. Guided by community feedback and coordinated with the City of Omaha, future safety measures may include thoughtful improvements that support visibility, park hours, and a welcoming public environment including:
